Colosseum, Rome, Italy

The Flavian Amphitheatre, also called the Colosseum or Coliseum in Rome, Italy. Construction started in 70 AD and completed in 80 AD. This structure could hold an estimated 50,000 to 80,000 spectators. It was used for gladiatorial contests and various public spectacles like mock sea battles, animal hunts and executions.
