Meet Sheri Oneal
As a Nashville photographer with over 30 years of industry experience, I bring a storytelling spirit to every assignment, capturing soulful, timeless imagery with professional style. My passion for photography has taken me around the world, working in travel, architecture, editorial, corporate, and advertising photography.
Based in Nashville, Tennessee, I specialize in creating natural images that connect emotionally and visually, using expert lighting and composition techniques. My ability to build trust and make clients feel comfortable results in images that feel authentic and alive. Over the years, I’ve earned the respect of art directors, editors, and business professionals for my dedication, creativity, and professionalism in every project.
Though a seasoned pro, I consistently bring fresh energy to new photography projects, always eager for the next story to unfold. My years of collaboration with writers, editors, and creative directors have honed my understanding of effective brand-building and product-selling services.
I partner with clients to articulate their narratives, leveraging my experience as a creative to provide strong photographic direction.
Beyond my client work, I’m passionate about giving back. I’ve mentored and lectured for organizations like ASMP, Art Camp, and the Boy Scouts of America. My work has been recognized by the PDN/Nikon Awards, the Ad Federation, and FLA Magazine Association, among others.
I’ve also led travel abroad classes, taught college courses, and led workshops. I offer consultations to working professionals. As the founder of “ReTune Nashville,” a 2010 flood relief organization, I’m deeply committed to culture, people, and the environment.
I’m available for commercial, editorial, and travel photography assignments, as well as commissioned visual art pieces, mentoring, and speaking engagements.
