About Sheri
I have been fortunate to live my life doing what I love, taking photos as a commercial photographer. With every click of the shutter, my goal is to try and capture my audience by bringing a storytelling spirit to every photo I shoot. Each assignment is the chance to record a moment in time with enduring soul and style. For over 27 years, I have used my vision to uniquely capture memorable photos for clients in travel, architecture, editorial, corporate, and advertising markets. Over the years I have experienced different cultures, lifestyles, and businesses while meeting interesting people along the way.
I have mastered placing my subject within a unique environmental backdrop and blending various light sources together to achieve a final image. My ability to develop trust and comfort with my client allows me to create natural and timeless imagery. Over the years as a professional, I have gained the respect of art directors, editors, and business associates as a pro. My career is built upon an unwavering commitment to my clients, my love of people, and the art of photography.
Though a seasoned pro, I am always open to taking on new photography projects with fresh energy, always excited about the next story to be told. My experience over the years working with writers, editors, creative directors, business owners, and the like, has helped me to understand the importance of brand-building and product-selling services. I work with my clients to help them tell their stories and share their visions. My experience as a creative offers a strong understanding of the industry with regards to professional photographic direction. The result is an alluring style of imagery that shows compassion, strength, and beauty. As a visual storyteller, I create poetic imagery that is both profound and timeless!
Outside of my work, I have mentored and lectured for groups such as the ASMP, Art Camp, and the Boy Scouts of America. I earned recognition in the PDN/Nikon Awards, The Ad Federation, and FLA Magazine Assoc. among others. I have led travel abroad classes for Nossi College of Art and offered workshops and consultations to working professionals in various industries. As the founder of a 2010 Nashville flood relief organization “ReTune Nashville,” I care deeply about culture, people, and the environment.
I am available for commercial, editorial, and travel photography assignments. I also offer commissioned visual art pieces and mentor and speaking engagements.
