In any business, keeping clients happy is the ultimate goal. For me, a commercial photographer, it’s my number one priority!

Why Keeping Clients Happy Drives My Photography Business
From the moment we start a project, I want my clients to feel comfortable and, most importantly, thrilled with the final outcome. Why? Because a happy client becomes your best advocate, sharing their positive experience with friends and colleagues. This word-of-mouth creates lasting relationships, which are absolutely essential for a thriving business. Throughout every shoot, I make it a point to ensure my clients love the images we’re capturing, guaranteeing they’ll be delighted with the final result.
My track record for client satisfaction stands at an impressive 98%. However, even with that success rate, there are those rare instances where a client might not be as satisfied as I’d hoped. When this happens, it impacts me deeply, both professionally and personally. My work is a direct reflection of me as an individual and a business owner. So, if a client is unhappy, I will do everything within my power to resolve the issue. While praise for a job well done is always welcome, it’s the unhappy client that truly stays with you, regardless of the situation.
The Joe West & Joe Zelek Story
Joe West of Gasoline Productions Inc. is an example of a happy, repeat client, and the kind of relationship I strive to build. As a renowned producer and writer with cuts for artists like Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, Jimmy Wayne, Julianne Hough, and Emily West, Joe’s trust in my work means a great deal. After I photographed his artist, Sarah Marince, in 2008, he felt confident enough to send Joe Zelek my way earlier this month.
Joe Zelek and I connected over the phone to discuss his vision and budget for an upcoming music project with Joe West. Zelek, who splits his time between Ohio and Tennessee, was looking for something fresh and unique, specifically, an outdoor shoot with a dynamic lens flare effect. We chose Joe West’s incredible property in Franklin, TN, for the shoot one sunny March afternoon.
What I didn’t expect was the fantastic additional shooting opportunity presented by an old house on the property, slated for demolition soon. Joe Zelek was completely open to my creative suggestions for utilizing this unique backdrop. The afternoon was a blast for Joe Zelek, Joe West, and me, and I even became a new fan of Joe Zelek’s music! This experience truly highlights how client collaboration and a willingness to explore new ideas lead to exceptional results.
Your Vision, My Passion: Experience the Difference
I’ll be honest, when I refer to this career as a “business,” I sometimes feel like I’m cheating – because I truly love what I do. However, I know it is a business, and as long as I prioritize client needs and keep clients happy, I believe I’ll continue to do what I’m passionate about.
If you’re looking for a photographer, I can confidently offer a 98% guarantee that you’ll be delighted with both the experience and the final outcome. Let me make you a happy client!
